HistoryOut exports available browser history to a self-contained HTML file with clickable links. Open the file later in a browser, without a spreadsheet or a HistoryOut account.
How do I export browser history to HTML?
Install HistoryOut, choose a date range, select HTML and export. In the updated workspace, Preview lets you search and filter first. Choose Title and URL for a simple reading list, or keep visit dates for context.

Make a useful record in four steps
- Install HistoryOut and open it from the extensions menu in a compatible desktop browser.
- Choose the dates you want. Select Preview to see the available visits.
- Filter by a title, URL or website if needed. Turn on One row per URL for a compact source list.
- Choose HTML, select your fields, and export. Open the downloaded history-export.html file in your browser.
A good fit for the pages you want to keep
Before leaving a project or changing computers, save the references you still want to revisit. HTML is also useful for a reading trail, a personal research record or a handoff you can inspect before sharing.
The exported list opens locally and has no remote fonts or scripts. Following a link opens the original website, which still needs to be available. The file contains your history records, not saved copies of those web pages.

What an export can preserve
HistoryOut can export only the visits your current browser profile still exposes. It cannot recover deleted history or automatically preserve records beyond the browser’s retention window. Your downloaded file remains available independently of future browser-history cleanup.
Can I export Chrome history to HTML for free?
Yes. HistoryOut includes HTML, CSV and JSON export at no charge. It has no subscription, account requirement or paid tier.
Does the HTML file work offline?
The list itself opens offline. Clicking a link to the original website usually requires an internet connection. HistoryOut does not save the contents of visited web pages.
Can I use this with Edge or Brave?
HistoryOut is prepared for compatible desktop Chromium browsers. Brave supports installation from the Chrome Web Store. Edge can install Chrome Web Store extensions when extensions from other stores are allowed.
Is the exported file safe to share?
Review it first. Browser history can contain private titles and addresses. Optional URL cleanup removes query strings and fragments, but does not anonymize titles or URL paths.
